- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I have had an account at this bank for more than 20 years. I have been happy with the bank although almost all transactions have been routine. Now, I have the need to stop payment on a check. When I called the bank, I was told that I would have to come in person to accomplish this. I explained that it was not possible as I am disabled and home-bound. I offered to fax the necessary forms as I had done wire-transfers by that method with this bank in the past. This was not acceptable to them. When asked what would happen if a customer was out-of-state when a check was lost, the answer seems to be "tough luck". I WILL be moving my account as other banks in town have much more accommodating policies in this regard.By Ken Ortmann, March 17, 2017
